My Ice Cream Secret

I have a little secret. I love ice cream for lunch. Now, don’t tell my doctor! This recipe is my trick. It tastes like a treat but feels good to eat.

The protein keeps you full. The peanut butter makes it fun. Fun fact: The pudding mix is the magic. It makes the ice cream super creamy without any churning! What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Tell me in the comments.

Why The Lid Stays Off

You must freeze this with the lid off. I learned this the hard way. My first batch froze with a big bump on top.

That bump is trouble for the blade. Leaving the lid off lets it freeze flat. This small step matters. It keeps your machine happy for years of ice cream. I still laugh at my lopsided first try.

Making The Magic Base

Let’s make the base. Put everything in the pint. Use your milk, powdered peanut butter, protein powder, and that pudding mix. Now, mix it well.

I use a little milk frother. It gets it so smooth. Doesn’t that smell amazing already? This mix is your blank canvas. What you add next is the real party. Do you like using a whisk or a frother?

The Best Part: Mix-Ins!

After spinning, you make a hole. This is my favorite part. I drop in mini peanut butter cups and a big spoonful of creamy peanut butter.

The mix-in program swirls it all through. You get sweet little surprises in every bite. Using two kinds of peanut butter matters. The powder gives flavor, and the creamy one gives rich, gooey streaks. It just feels more special.

Time to Enjoy

Take the pint out right away. Top it with more goodies if you want. I like a few Reese’s Pieces on top for color. Eat it immediately. It is perfect soft-serve texture.

This recipe feels like a hug. It is a treat you can feel good about sharing. Will you try it with peanut butter cups, or pick a different mix-in? I would love to see your creations.

My Peanut Butter Cup Dream Ice Cream

Hello, my dear! Let’s make a treat that feels like a hug. This ice cream is creamy and full of peanut butter joy. It has a little protein, too, so it’s a fun snack. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? I thought of my grandson when I created this. He loves anything with peanut butter cups!

Making it is simple with your Ninja Creami. Just follow these steps with me. I still laugh at the first time I made it. I was so excited I almost forgot to freeze it! Let’s begin our little kitchen project.

Step 1: Grab your empty Creami pint. Pour in the milk. Add the powdered peanut butter, protein powder, and pudding mix. This powder mix makes it extra creamy later. It smells like a vanilla dream already.

Step 2: Now, whisk everything together really well. I like using a small milk frother. It makes the job quick and smooth. You want no dry powder spots. A good mix means perfect ice cream.

Step 3: Time to freeze it. Put the pint in your freezer without the lid. Leave it for a full day. (My hard-learned tip: Freezing with the lid on makes a big ice hump. That can hurt your machine’s blade!).

Step 4: After 24 hours, take the pint out. Place it in the outer bowl. Lock the lid on top. Then, put the whole bowl on the motor base. Twist the handle to lift it up. You’ll hear a nice click when it’s locked.

Step 5: Now for the magic! Press the “Lite Ice Cream” button. Listen to it spin. It makes a funny whirring sound. When it stops, you’ll have soft-serve ice cream. It usually doesn’t need another spin. What’s your favorite ice cream sound? Share below!

Step 6: Grab a spoon. Make a small hole in the center of your ice cream. Drop in your mini peanut butter cups and a spoonful of creamy peanut butter. Run the “Mix-In” program once. This swirls the goodness all through.

Step 7: You did it! Scoop your ice cream into a bowl. Add a few more peanut butter cups on top. Enjoy it right away. It’s so rich and satisfying. My grandson always licks his bowl clean.

Three Tasty Twists to Try

This recipe is like a favorite sweater. You can dress it up differently! Here are three fun ideas. They are all so simple. Try one next time for a surprise.

Cookie Dough Delight: Skip the peanut butter cups. Mix in bits of safe-to-eat cookie dough and chocolate chips.

Berry PB&J: Use chocolate protein powder. Swirl in a spoonful of strawberry jam instead of peanut butter.

Salty Pretzel Crunch: Add chopped salty pretzels with your peanut butter cups. The sweet and salty mix is amazing.

Serving It Up With Style

This ice cream is great all by itself. But you can make it extra special. I love a pretty bowl. It makes dessert feel like a party.

For serving, try a warm brownie piece underneath. Or sprinkle on some rainbow sprinkles for fun. A little whipped cream never hurts either. It looks so inviting.

What to drink with it? A cold glass of milk is the classic choice. For the grown-ups, a sip of coffee liqueur over the top is divine. It melts into the ice cream beautifully. Which would you choose tonight?

Keeping Your Ice Cream Perfect

This ice cream is best eaten right away. The texture is just perfect then. But you can store leftovers. Just press a piece of wax paper right on the surface. This stops ice crystals from forming. Then put the lid on tight. It will keep for about two weeks.

You cannot really batch-cook ice cream. Each Ninja Creami pint is its own little world. But you can make the base mix ahead. I often mix two pints on a Sunday. I pop them in the freezer without their lids. This saves me time later in the week.

I once forgot the wax paper trick. My ice cream got all frosty. It was like a winter storm in my pint! Now I never skip that step. Storing food well means less waste. It also means a sweet treat is always ready for you. Have you ever tried storing it this way? Share below!

Simple Fixes for Common Hiccups

First, a grainy texture means it wasn’t mixed well. Use that milk frother or whisk very thoroughly. I remember my first batch was a bit sandy. I learned to mix for a full minute. A smooth base makes the creamiest ice cream.

Second, your pint might be too hard after spinning. This often means it needed more time to freeze. Always aim for a full 24 hours. A solid freeze gives the machine the best material to work with. This matters for that dreamy, soft-serve result.

Third, the mix-ins might not spread evenly. Make sure your center hole is big enough. Drop your peanut butter cups and swirls of peanut butter right in. Running the mix-in program once is usually perfect. Getting the mix-ins right makes every bite a fun surprise. Which of these problems have you run into before?

Your Quick Questions, Answered

Q: Is this gluten-free? A: Check your pudding mix and protein powder labels. Many are, but you must look.

Q: Can I make it ahead? A: Yes! The base freezes for weeks. Just spin it when you are ready.

Q: What can I swap? A: Use almond milk for dairy-free. Any nut butter powder will work well too.

Q: Can I double it? A: Do not double in one pint. Just make two separate pints for best results.

Q: Any optional tips? A: A tiny pinch of salt makes the peanut butter flavor pop. *Fun fact: Salt helps our taste buds notice sweet flavors better.* Which tip will you try first?

Description

Creamy, healthy Ninja Creami ice cream packed with peanut butter cup flavor! High-protein, no guilt dessert.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix the base ingredients: add the milk, powdered peanut butter, protein powder and pudding mix to an empty CREAMi™ Pint.
  2. Whisk: whisk ingredients together, or I like using a milk frother to incorporate it.
  3. Freeze: freeze the pint on a level surface in the freezer, with the lid off, for 24 hours. (freezing with the lid on creates a hump at the top of the ice cream, which can damage the blade, so be sure to leave it off).
  4. Assemble: Remove the pint from the freezer, place it in the outer bowl, and lock the lid on top. Place the bowl assembly on the motor base, twist the handle right to raise the platform, and lock it in place.
  5. Spin it! Select Lite Ice Cream. It shouldn’t need another respin.
  6. Mix-ins: use a spoon to create a small hole in the center, about 1 ½ inches wide. Place your the mini peanut butter cups and creamy peanut butter in the center. Run the mix-in program one time.
  7. Enjoy: remove the pint and enjoy right away with any more mix-ins on top!

Notes

For best results, ensure the pint is frozen on a level surface without the lid to prevent a hump that can damage the blade.
